We’ve been taking a lot of little trips lately! Last week was Dallas, and this past weekend we visited Baton Rouge and New Orleans. It was my first time to Louisiana and my only to-do list item consisted of eating lots of yummy food, which we did! Beignets, Po’Boys, and cajun loaded fries are just a few of the items we indulged in, and you know you’ve done it right when your pants are a little too snug at the end of the trip! haha
We spent most of the day just wandering around the French Quarter and taking in the live music and NOLA atmosphere and ended the night at the rooftop bar of our hotel, which by the way was divine! We stayed at The Pontchartrain Hotel in the Garden District and I seriously wanted to move in. It was a vintage lover’s dream! Lots of old furniture, chandeliers, unique paintings and tapestries all paired perfectly together to create an eclectic vibe. The hotel housed two restaurants and two bars, each of them with their own style and atmosphere!
Before we left we stopped at District Donuts for a few sweet treats and coffee. These donuts were massive and so worth every calorie consumed!
