My hubby has a big sweet tooth and every year (even though we don’t really like to celebrate the holiday) I like to make him something sweet around Valentine’s Day! Well, sometimes life gets busy and you kinda forget until the very last minute! No worries, because this is me, every day of life. After the grocery store the other day I picked up some cupcakes from Muddy’s. (If you follow me on Instagram you already know how much I love Muddy’s from my posts and instastories!) If you’re a Memphian and you haven’t checked them out… DO IT! So good. I picked out colors that were VDay themed, but wanted to add a special touch to them. I decided to make little white chocolate candy hearts and put them on top to give that semi-homemade feel. It was super easy and would be great for a cake topper, too! As you can tell from the pictures it took me a few times to get the hang of piping hearts and letters, but it wasn’t too difficult to master! Plus, my hubs loved the e hearts m! 🙂
White Chocolate Chips
Red food coloring
Using a microwave safe bowl add enough chocolate chips to fill the bottom of the bowl. Microwave for 1 minute, stirring every 15 seconds. Add a couple drops of red food coloring. You can add more or less depending on the color you ultimately want to use. Pour the chocolate into a ziplock baggie and cut the tiniest hole in the corner of the bag. Pipe out hearts or letters onto parchment paper and let dry.
